What you should know

1

'Up to' is only the maximum

Advertised speeds are top figures. What counts is what actually reaches your address — and which connection type (DSL, cable or fibre) is available there.

Example: For one person, around 50 Mbit/s is usually enough — a family with several streams is better served by 100–250 Mbit/s. Stability matters more than the biggest headline number.

2

Look at the total cost

The cheap starting price often applies only at first. After that it usually rises — plus router rental and a one-off setup.

Example: The promo price often applies for only 24 months — after that the monthly fee rises noticeably. Calculate the total cost over the full term.

3

Your own router & cancel on time

You may use your own router and are not tied to the provider's device. Mind the notice period, otherwise the contract renews automatically.

Example: After the minimum term the contract is cancellable monthly with 1 month's notice — a reminder before the end prevents automatic renewal.

Which connection suits you?

Find the right direction quickly.

  • Normal browsing and streaming

50–100 Mbit/s is often enough — stability beats peak numbers.

  • Home office or gaming

Higher download and upload — fibre if available.

  • Moving soon

Short term or monthly cancellation — settle your address first.
